@jojoslyfe21 also how is it that denji still ends up in the same spot with the yakuza+zombie devil without pochita’s influence? these first two pages would have gone a lot differently without pochita… how would denji get hired as a devil hunter? what was he gonna use to kill zombie devil?

So denji goes back to before he got chopped up,meets the guy who tried chopping him up and meets the same old power so you assume that “oh everything is just set to before pochita came back?” But then there’s signs that’s not the case?

I'm sorry but we are not babying Tatsuki Fujimoto. He could've taken a break if he wanted to, this is Jump+ and he has all the leverage to even go on a months long hiatus if he feels burnt out/is unhealthy and i'd gladly wait.

Besides the ending id even say there are many issues that p2 (csm in general ig) have too. Many characters like the ice witch or sun should have had more which is the same issue as with p2 sidecast

Controversial take, but Firepunch has a lot of the same problems as CSM Pt.2, Part 1 was clearly planned from the start both in Pt.2 and Firepunch there is multi-chapter stretches where it's clear he is not sure where to take the story and thus random plotpoints get abbandoned.
This may be not as painful on speedread, but Firepunch having like 10 chapters of Agni just walking through the snow was agonizing when reading weekly.

The worst part of this is that Fujimoto isn't some hack. You don't write Part 1, Goodbye Eri, Look Back, or Fire Punch if you're a bad author. Any claims that he is are in bad faith. So the manga turning out like this even in spite of that is what makes it so damn disappointing.

now that part two is over: fire devil and fakesaw man were mishandled. i felt like the fire devil arc had the potential to be the most poignant villain of part two but she was a nothingburger. sad.
