The SAT & ACT are strong predictors of college performance (far better than high school GPA). Yet, many colleges eliminated them on the assumption they hurt diversity. Not so. From the NYT: “Once we brought the test requirement back, we admitted our most diverse class ever.”

We do not use a chatbot interface in our schools for academics, and here’s the reason: give a kid a chatbot, and they will cheat with it. As much as we’d love to imagine they’re going to get on ChatGPT and engage in a Socratic discussion, they don’t. They copy the question and paste, “What’s the answer?”

Hezbollah is pounding northern Israel, the Galilee… It’s being pounded daily by rockets and by drones. People are being killed, houses are destroyed, and people simply will not live in the northern part of Israel… So it’s not just a security issue, it’s a matter of the survival of the state, and Israel has to strike back.
