Because we don't have a sovereign wealth fund like the Gulf states who have no income taxes and we don't price our oil domestically like Russia does we force our people to pay high taxes and high fuel prices.
Canada is little more than a tax slave plantation.
Also the people are brainwashed into taking pride in being taken advantage of and being so uncompetitive that large companies would rather build data centers in some of the hottest places on earth and cooling them is still cheaper than building them in Canada.
