Its a common theme across all of gaming and I hope too see a change in the ideology that has been suffocating the gaming industry for the past few years. Go woke go broke. Get based and get paid. If they continue on the path of listening to retarded Karens and having them dictate the genre they drive away the actual player base that actually drives there economy. Blockchain gaming is not different. Listening to @Asmongold @Vera_Dark @EndymionYT gameranks and the like will allow you to get the sentiment of the masses that are actually going to make the market.

BREAKING NEWS ❗️❗️ @xocietyofficial is closing shop "For now ". I am beyond disappointed... At the end, the people who lost are the players that spent heavily on NFTs , spent hours playing and not getting the excitement or benfits they imgained they would get. I bought my Xociety NFT for about 200$ each and sold them for less than 10$ The airdrops we got for spending hours playing, streaming and creating content about Xociety were worth nothing, Binance alpha folks were rewarded more than players that spent hours and money in game. The game is the game, It's really disappointing the state at which Sui Games are in, after the Suiplay sold out, everything in the gaming scene went downhill. Really sad.

First, I would like to apologize for the long silence. And I sincerely apologize again for returning with disappointing news. Ultimately, we were not able to create a game that players felt was worth paying for, and we reached a point where we could no longer sustain the service through our own revenue. The responsibility for this lies with me as the leader of the team. Despite this, we had one of the most passionate communities, and we were fortunate to receive so much support and love from all of you. Because we were fully aware of that, we spent the past several months trying everything we could to keep going, without giving up. After facing repeated setbacks, a frozen market, and a very difficult investment environment, we have reached a point where we are pursuing an opportunity through M&A as a last remaining path forward. The outcome of this process is expected to be determined by the end of April. At this moment, the team is focused on two key directions: - Developing a new console title based on the XOCIETY prequel universe (single-player and co-op) - Preparing a new project related to the indie game ecosystem XOCIETY originally aimed to be a Web3-based game that could be enjoyed by both Web2 and Web3 players. However, through this process, we have been reminded of a fundamental truth: before any distinction, the game itself must first be genuinely fun and worth playing. If we are given another opportunity, we will focus first on building a game that truly delivers value and enjoyment. On top of that, we will incorporate Web3 elements only where they are truly meaningful, and work to restore the value of the assets we have built so far. Although we have announced a “pause” today, we do not see this as the end. We will do everything we can to carry this forward.

The major issue is that this is another "concord" i saw something along the lines of "neutral" character models. Not emphasizing any male or female dominant characteristics. This is what happens when you enter into an over saturated market and not having a stand out feature to draw in more consumers. I like the idea of blockchain idea but hopefully we can get a list of what not to do. Hopefully we can get some good indie devs to try to work with the chain.

not even a year in, they raised from vcs and kols and now they’re shutting down. glad i passed on this. i passed because someone told me the team allegedly bought a huge amount of fake metrics on epic games through some vietnamese groups just to game the algorithm and land on the homepage. no amount of money or partnerships can save web3 gaming. we should probably accept that, maybe.

XOCIETY will enter live service pause, meaning that all active development, game access and Web3 components will be halted, due to ongoing profitability issues. NDUS, XOCIETY’s development team is discussing M&A options. Team NDUS, if the acquisition is successful, will work on new ways to experience the XOCIETY IP, in line with the acquiring company’s aims.
