An Amazing Legacy. #NeverForget

Remembering long time PBS Staff member Lt.Col. Henry “Hank” Masone III, who passed 8/15/07 after serving 30+ yrs as a US Marine. Hank, a ‘74 Citadel grad, born in Brooklyn, N.Y., served tours in Kosovo, Bosnia & Afghanistan & is remembered each year w/the All PBS City Award.

Remembering our Brother, CPT John David Hortman - he was the best of us and placed his life on the line for us. May 6, 1981 - August 8, 2011 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. John 15:13 Thank you Dave.

Happy Birthday to Rev. Dr. Sinclair E. Lewis! Sinkie is 93 TODAY! His service to Palmetto Boys State began in 1956 & continues today. Through his leadership, compassion for his fellow man, and love of country, our program has achieved the highest standards. HBD Sinkie! ❤️🎂🎉

A week ago we ran! Last night at the annual @SCBoysState Talent Show & Awards Ceremony known as “The Sinkies,” our 5K Committee presented event proceeds to Friends of Boys State in the amount of $7,117.24! Thank You all for helping more young men experience Palmetto Boys State!
