The Modric debate is not even about Modric anymore.
It is about people who would rather lose with the correct nostalgia than win with the correct midfield setup.
Modric can't run anymore. His world cup medals can't run for him. Currently we have better midfielders than him.

This is the exact problem.
People think saying Modric should not start every match in 2026 means deleting what he did in 2018/2022. It doesn’t.
He is the greatest Croatian player ever. He also shouldn’t be the physical base of the midfield at 40. Both can be true.

Neither should start. Kovacic has been out the entire season and won’t last more than a half.

That's funny because after that washed up old man left the pitch we instantly started playing better 😂😂 the "could've had been 6-2" period literally occured whilst he was being still in game being useless
