"games journalists bad at games" is such a pick me thing to say for someone who does games journalism. It's giving "not like other girls" energy.
Presenting yourself as a "real gamer" by putting down journalists is basically a dog whistle these days because it's something all the culture war grifters do to try and discredit criticism that doesn't align with their views, or to try and give more credibility to whatever bs they're selling.
How are people falling for this shit so blindly when journalists are beating games like Elden Ring before release and publishing the guides and walkthroughs all of you needed to do the same?

@DevEthos @UTxJGTheDon I agree, Andromeda's combat was top tier. I absolutely love zipping around as a vanguard in that game. The game was just weighed down by a lot of open world bloat. The enemy AI could've been a little bit better as well

I said it back then and I'll say it now. I think a lot of y'all gave Andromeda a lot of shit. Some of it fair some of it unfair. But I'll always stand that Andromeda still had one of the best third person combat systems at that time.
