Did you know that people often recreate their traumatic experiences to feel close to someone they lost on that day? I have a cousin who is now living soberly near me. She self-harms because the smell of blood reminds her of the day she was holding my other cousin (her sister) who passed away in a car accident when they were younger. She said she can smell the dirt from the dirt road. It’s a way of reliving and feeling close to that person. I bought her a pain sensory toy hoping that it will help her cope some. I wonder if there’s a way to help someone heal from that?!

We’re toxic friends. I block and unblock him all of the time. 😂 I don’t know if he blocked me for sure but he ignored me so it’s the same. 😂 we’re too much alike so it makes our personalities clash. He’s hell bent on having things a certain way and I’m hell bent on not having them that way. We’re both just SOL. Neither is budging.
