An update on the NEOGEO AES+ pre-order issues that some of you have asked us about: The short answer: your best bet at the moment is to pre-order at Amazon. The REPLAI store ships from Europe, and the unprecedented interest in these products has triggered some additional tax registrations that must be completed in each US state. We have been told this process will be completed around the end of May, at which point all US consumers should be able to pre-order their products of choice. The Ultimate Edition is a REPLAI-site exclusive, so will not be available at Amazon. Rest assured that you will be able to pre-order the UE once the above mentioned issues are resolved. @Pirat_Nation I have one of these TCL TVs since 2021 and it got so bad I disconnected it permanently from updates. When you do, there is a constant flashing light that will not stop on the bottom of the TV until it connects again. So now I have a piece of duct tape covering it up...

Roku and TCL face a new class action lawsuit alleging that automatic software updates have rendered thousands of smart TVs unusable. The federal complaint, filed in Southern California, claims the updates cause devices to freeze, enter endless restart loops, display black screens, or fail to power on. Affected models include Roku’s Select and Plus Series TVs as well as TCL’s 3-, 4-, 5-, and 6-Series Roku TVs purchased since mid-December 2024. The suit argues that both companies were aware of widespread customer complaints on their support forums yet continued rolling out the updates without adequate fixes or recalls. This marks the second major class action against Roku’s TV platform this year Owners experiencing these issues should document everything and monitor court updates for potential participation.

Someone correct me if I've heard wrong, but the upcoming AES+ has since been revealed to be the MiSTer FPGA core baked into an ASIC. I've heard this means no way to update it with a firmware release if there's a bug. So I'm back to being a little concerned, but optimistic.

@Wario64 Xenocrisis is excellent, worth owning... but that's a steep price for a game that was already released. Would recommend the Bitmap collection. Battleaxe is pretty rough but Final Vendetta is great.
