Blockchain is a publicly shared database and this represents utility. You could have spoken about #hive or DPOS blockchains which consume a thousand times less energy. Ponzis are 98% of projects though and it needs more ethical projects and more developer-owned companies. (I have one t.co/Fihfrqt8IC but there are others of course) Marketing-owned or investor-owned ones always: fund, launch, drop & then run. They disturb this environment, but they actually come from the same WEB2 non-editorial mindset. Splinterlands was developer-owned, it worked, and they need to identify such projects. Creative developers can exist, they just are drown in the middle of other bad habits coming from web2 startup mentality.
