Our CNC machine has now clocked a speed of 1304 pieces/minute!! That’s more than 21 springs in a second! A 30% increase in speed over our previous record. We achieved this feat without a thorough redesign of the entire machine. All springs you see here are in the tolerance of +/- 0.1 mm It was already the fastest in the country. We just dialled it up a notch. This is now one of the fastest CNC spring coiler in the world, if not the fastest. Investing in R&D pays. Designed and built in Bharat 🇮🇳

As expected, the aliexpress special buck/boost converter sucks for dynamic loads. Heres it connected to a PC.
Drops all the way down to 4.142v...

@GoddenThomas Aluminium foil is pretty precisely controlled and very easy to cut. It worked great for me adjusting my cnc mill by a few thou :)

I guess I've started project posting again with no context so here goes; I'm building a mill that's almost all laser cut sheet and tube (from fabworks/sendcutsend). Are there enough shims in the world to make this thing square? Let's find out.

Success! Pushmepullyou casting came out very well, just couple of things to improve, but came out very straight and flat. Will wait to test insert tomorrow, just to make sure it is fully cured.

Really cool research project but in their later version of the robot (ALLEX), they have unfortunately removed a lot of the novel parts and have gone back to a more traditional wrist design (probably because you can put bigger bearings in there for more rigidity).

Stumbling upon a novel idea, even if it's not exactly new, is always exciting.
Came across this virtual rolling contact joint when researching spherical rolling joints.
Created by IRIM LAB KOREATECH & genius in its simplicity, this joint consists of three pivoting linkages that allows for 2 DOF in roll & pitch.
They then integrated it into a robotic arm, complete with a driveshaft passing through the center.
Has anyone ever used one of these designs in practice?

@teraytech btw, for front/rear panels, you can actually use PCBs. You can get it with your PCB order and you can customize the silkscreen on the front

DAY 6+7+8:
I LAUNCHED THE ROCKET!
Here's my final base, with each science section highlighted. Funny how small the first three sciences are compared to the rest of them.
In the end, I added the remaining sciences all in their separate lanes making either 2/sec (🟥🟩⬛️), 1/sec (🟦) or 0.5/sec (🟪🟨) (see sections).
Small concrete plant on the left with a flame thrower ammo plant below. Also a rocket fuel plant (1/sec) on the bottom.
Have yet to set up automatic rocket and satellite production due to the limitations of this base design.
I'm starting to see why everyone uses a "main bus" design instead of compartmentalizing each science to it's own section. Much easier to expand when demand needs more iron plates of copper wire (also probably a bit more fun dealing with bottlenecks).
Took me 40hrs to beat. I feel like I didn't fully engage with all the system the game had to offer. I barely touched circuits, nuclear power and more advanced combat.
Overall great game and definitely lived up to the hype!

DAY 4+5 - Added military, blue and purple science sections - Now have actual train unloading station with remote mining bases I get a feeling that individual sections are kinda annoying. Maybe I should have made it with a "main bus" design...
