@soupercocky People in my current industry bring the rice and cotton water usage up in conversation but don't expect the onslaught I give. I slap them with almond water usage, also the difference between seasonal vs permanent plantings.

I'm not arguing for fracking, but it seems hypocritical of the cotton industry - cotton is one of the most environmentally destructive crops grown in the Murray-Darling basin, responsible for endless land clearing and seemingly limitless water extraction - to campaign against gas

@NickRonfeldt If Santa and his Ho Ho Ho is on strike. I'd lean towards the good ole Diquat/Paraquat mix. High water rate and at worst it'll make them brown, at best they'll die🤷 <Disclaimer, any advice given is general in nature and professional advice should be seeked prior to use 😉>

Don't get me wrong, I think full electric vehicles have their places like as forklifts in coolrooms, but to even contemplate mandating EV's for rural, regional and remote areas is terrible.

I'm trialing what it'd be like owning an EV. The alternator died so I gotta plan ahead where I can stop to charge the battery to get the ute home. So far I can say, yes it works, but far far less convenient and enjoyable having to stop to charge

@roseycatherine I haven't helped in this, though I left Ag 15yrs ago due to drought, lack of future and prospects in a city. Now in mining and many people I work with are from a Ag background. Mainstream media constantly saying Ag is underpaid or part paid in produce compound the problem
