Bird fdc’s

A lovely 1971 cover from Belgium 🇧🇪 featuring Adelie Penguins arrived this afternoon in amongst a whole bundle of USA 🇺🇸 covers. 9 new Gold replica covers were a very welcome addition to my collection & the 8 Aristocrat 1987 covers are to fill in some gaps in this set.

7 new additions arrived today. A beautiful cover from Hong Kong 🇭🇰 😍😍. It’s from 1997. This is my 4th cover with all 4 of these stamps. Also 6 from the New Zealand 🇳🇿 Game Bird Habitat series. These are released every year on 2nd February. These are from 2005-08, 2010 & 2011.

A few great additions today. The best are these 2 North Korean 🇰🇵 covers from 1996. Also of note is this 1965 Singapore 🇸🇬 cover on an unusual envelope. 8 more Japanese 🇯🇵 covers from between 1992-94 & a few German 🇩🇪 covers make a nice haul.

Received this beauty today 😍. Venezuela 🇻🇪 1961 with all 6 released stamps on it 😄

The latest release from Austria 🇦🇹 arrived today (14.3.26) with a few extras for friend. Also 2 more from Iraq 🇮🇶, a nice pile from America 🇺🇸 including 4 Gold Replica covers from 1992 featuring hummingbirds & a few more National Audubon Society gap fillers (1995 & 2009)

No first day covers for a whole week as there was no postman & a bank holiday weekend. Just arrived home to this lot 😍😍. I’ll definitely be posting again later & over the next couple of days 😄

Only 2 new today. The first is a beauty 😍. 1954 Japanese 🇯🇵 fdc featuring 4 Lesser Cuckoo stamps 😄. The 2nd is a USA 🇺🇸 National Audubon Society cover from 2006. Another gap filler.

5 new today. 3 from UK 🇬🇧 islands. A lovely 1979 cover from Bardsey in Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 & 2 from Lundy in England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 (1974 & 2019). Also an unusual cover from Woodseat Venture scouts 🇬🇧 featuring 5 garden birds & lastly a gold replica USA 🇺🇸 cover (1998) featuring a Long-billed Curlew.

Another gap filled in my National Audubon Society conservation stamp cover collection 🇺🇸. Year 2000 singles. I’ve found a few other gap fillers which are on their way from the USA. Hopefully 1 day this collection will be complete.

These arrived todayThese fill in a few gaps in my National Audubon Society wildlife conservation stamps. These are 1991, 1992, 1994, 1996 & 1998. Each year between 1985-2011 they released 1 large & 5 small fdcs on April 26th (J Audubon’s birthday). I still have quite a few gaps.

Brunei 🇧🇳 is a small, wealthy absolute monarchy on the island of Borneo in Southeast Asia. Known as a "Kingdom of Peace,". I only have 6 from here but hopefully they’ll produce more in the future 😍

9 new covers arrived today taking me to 12500. 2 more beauties from Iraq 🇮🇶 taking my Iraq total to 31 covers. 2 from Israel 🇮🇱, a set of 4 USA 🇺🇸 owls from 1978 & an Estonian 🇪🇪 cover from 1993. These stamps were originally issued in 1992 so I’m unsure who made this cover??

Another day & another single cover arrived. From Saint Pierre and Miquelon 🇵🇲. From 9/12/74 it features several seabirds. Saint Pierre and Miquelon is a French archipelago south of the Canadian island of Newfoundland.

Just a single cover again today. Japan 🇯🇵 1973. Oriental Scops-owl. Unusual that the date stamp features what looks like a Myna and not an owl.

A lovely large fdc from Iraq 🇮🇶 arrived today. 2019 & featuring 2 sets of Blue Tit, Hawfinch, Bluethroat & Chaffinch stamps. Single stamps & a full sheet 😍

A couple of new owl covers are always welcome. Norway 🇳🇴 2015 & Sweden 🇸🇪 (1975). Both European Eagle-owls 🦉
