A case has been registered under relevant sections of NDPS Act and investigation is underway. A 3-day certificate course (23–25/3/26) concluded at STC F&ES HQ for hoteliers, civilians, teachers & students. Training included live demo of fire extinguisher use & hose drill. 59 participants received certificates,with an appeal to share fire safety awareness with colleagues.

They also undertook an educational visit to INS Utkrosh, Andaman & Nicobar Command familiarising themselves with airport firefighting systems & vehicles.

As part of the Sub Officer Course training of @nfsc_mha, trainees visited ERSS, PCR & the State Control Room to understand emergency response systems in the islands, highlighting unified communication for effective coordination & disaster management.

A commendable effort by the team in ensuring the safe disposal of seized narcotics. Such actions strengthen our ongoing #WarOnDrugs and reaffirm our commitment to protect our communities from the threat of drugs.

Anti-Narcotics Police Station, A&N Police Cracks Ganja Supply Link; Accused Held from Kolkata Continuing its drive against narcotics trafficking, Anti-Narcotics Police Station, CID Unit seized 7.365 Kg ganja concealed inside a refrigerator parcel sent anonymously from Kolkata to Sri Vijaya Puram through a private courier. Acting on credible intelligence on 29/01/2026, a raid at a local courier service at Sri Vijaya Puram led to recovery of 7 packets of ganja (7.365 Kg) hidden inside the refrigerator parcel. FIR No. 01/2026 was registered under Sec 20(b)(ii)(B) NDPS Act, 1985. During technical investigation, accused Haripada (West Bengal) was traced in Kolkata. A team comprising SI A. Santhosh, PC Raja Rao & PC Anup Das, under the close supervision of Inspector K. Binoj, SHO Anti-Narcotics Police Station, proceeded to Kolkata, apprehended him and brought him to Sri Vijaya Puram by air under proper watch. The accused will be produced before the Hon’ble Court for PC remand to identify associates and trace financial links. The operation was supervised by Smti. Passing Out Parade of 75th Batch RPCs at NSCBPTI, Sri Vijaya Puram .. The 75th Batch of Recruit Police Constables (Executive) successfully completed their training with a grand Passing Out Parade on 12 March 2026 at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Police Training Institute, Sri Vijaya Puram. A total of 30 recruits completed rigorous training and are now ready to serve the people of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands with dedication, discipline and integrity. The ceremony was graced by Geeta Rani Verma, IGP (Training), who reviewed the parade and congratulated the recruits. The oath of service was administered by Uma Shankar, Principal PTS, in the presence of A.
