Trust Value- EMPOWERMENT✔️ Our new initiative - 'Dragons Den'style - giving our staff the opportunity to provide their input into future investment at First Steps. Thinking finance, impact, child development and ongoing delivery of high-quality care and education.

Today, some of us delivered an invite to 'The Big Boss,' Mr Paul Honey, Deputy Director of Estates and Facilities, inviting him to judge our 'First Steps Pumpkin Carving Contest 2024.' We took him some decorations to display on his desk, to remind him of the date!

Fantastic morning at Exeter College, talking to the Level 2 Early Years about employer expectations. We even invited the whole group of almost 30 students along to @FirstStepsNHS to engage in some CPD opportunities to support them in their roles. #sharingoutstandingpractice

Makaton allows pre-verbal children to communicate with peers-but children who have language need to know it too or they won't be able to respond! Parents sometimes ask "Will Makaton prevent children from using spoken language?" I think this says it all!
