Happy Birthday to The Great Gatsby, published #OTD in 1925!🎉💸🥂 #DYK that Walsh Library has a book of the #TheGreatGatsby manuscript? This is the earliest surviving full version of the novel. Fitzgerald reworked the manuscript & continued to edit until weeks before publication.

Happy Easter, Rams! Another spring holiday, another facsimile. Here, we have pages, depicting the Last Supper, from a facsimile of a Missale Romanum (Roman Missal). This detailed reproduction, gifted to us in 1946, was handwritten & painted to match the original.

Chag Pesach Sameach! Here is a facsimile of the 14th-century Barcelona Haggadah, donated to the library by Dr. James Leach. "Haggadah" means "telling" in Hebrew, & these books serve as a guide to the Passover seder. To all those who celebrate, have a wonderful holiday.

Today, we observe National Medal of Honor Day! The award originated in 1863, when it was presented to Andrew Raiders during the Civil War. A Fun fact is that SIX Fordham Alumni to date have earned this honor. Can you guess them in the comments below?
