Quantifying the potential economic impact of antimicrobial resistance is one way of trying to get government attention to address the problem...this article looks at how much Australia could save if we reduced resistance in just 3 types of infections..

Exactly 20 years ago, I started my undergraduate journey at @uclachem. And so I am especially excited (and a bit intimidated) to step into this new role. Lots of big shoes to fill, especially of Neil @GargLab, who masterfully navigated our department through some of the toughest years in modern history during the pandemic. Look forward to helping build an even stronger community of our amazing chemistry&biochemistry students, faculty and staff, as well as engaging with our department alumni and friends.
