Today at the Frontline plots we are seeding some cover crop trials utilizing different species of grasses, legumes and brassicas. The winter and next spring we will evaluate weed suppression, compaction reduction and nitrogen release throughout the season

In case you wondering, all those cool wet days in August, while we couldn’t see it, Tar Spot was plastering the corn. Now, 2-3 weeks later and getting to half milk line, it is making its presence known

We have covered a lot of ground since Friday looking for disease in pollinating corn. Luckily overall pressure thus far is low in the canopy and minimal, however it is there and started. Conditions will dictate how fast it ramps up #TarSpotageddon #GLS #SendIt #Fungicide
