New figures just announced show that 7 more people are suspected to have been infected with Meningitis. Chief Scientific Officer of the UK Health Security agency, Professor Robin May tells Kate and Richard that this ' is not a cause for wide spread panic.'

Plans to double the time migrants have to wait before they're allowed to settle permanently in Britain could be watered down, according to reports. An urgent public health alert has been issued over the deadly meningitis outbreak in Kent that's already claimed two lives. As work resumes this morning to vaccinate 5,000 students, a case has now been confirmed at a second university in the area. That brings the number of suspected or confirmed cases to 20. But the UK's Health Security Agency says it's "a rapidly evolving situation" and it's urging health workers across the whole of England to look out for signs of the infection. @NickDixonITV reports.

11-year-old Tony Hudgell, who had both legs amputated after being assaulted by his birth parents has won his campaign for a new child cruelty register. Parents guilty of neglect will now face similar monitoring to sex offenders and lasting consequences for their actions. Tony's adoptive mum Paula talks to @susannareid100 and @edballs about what the the child cruelty register and what she and Tony hope it will achieve.

Khali Goodwin's 21-year-old daughter Keeleigh is currently in hospital with meningitis B after visiting Club Chemistry in Canterbury on Thursday - the venue a number of cases have been linked to.
