@ragastelle isn't the point of his inner mind scene that he blames himself for all of that? like, those specific events + the imaginary parts paint a clear "jax considers himself to be completely beyond redemption" picture. his external behavior is a different matter.

lowkey yea i agree they could had eloborated on it more but we DID had zooble using their body as advantage on the same episode he gives gangle that speech,and it something that they kept doing till the end of the show

Idk how anyone ever thought Zooble's body dysmorphia arc got "solved off-screen", when it's pretty damn clear that the speech he gives Gangle in episode 6 is as much to themself as it is to her. We literally see him start to pull his hand away, unsure, before Gangle takes it.
