I think people don't understand what fanservice is. It doesn't just mean sexy shenanigans. It's not just boob grabs or accidentally walking into someone in the bath. Every hype moment in JJK is fanservice. All the AURA FARMING in Solo Leveling is fanservice. The silly moments in Frieren? Fanservice. The romantic tension between Lloyd and Yor? Anya's comedic timing? Fanservice. Fanservice literally means "giving fans what they want." In a shonen romcom, fanservice might be sexual in nature. In a shojo romance, sweet moments between the FMC and her love interest. In a slice of life story about an elf traveling with her two human companions? Poor sleeping posture and feet.
