Angel never had an issue eating foul calls that she committed. The issue is that you can’t let post players bang and NOT call it evenly because when Angel *did* foul Izzy, they called it a foul and she moved on yet they missed multiple calls on Izzy

I've never seen an athlete treated the way Angel Reese is treated, and I genuinely want to know why. What exactly has she done to deserve this level of hate? What has she said? She barely speaks publicly If this is still about something that happened in college, then maybe we should admit it's forced. Who else is judged this harshly for something they did in college years later? She didn't commit a crime. And before people start comparing her to others, most athletes under a microscope still receive praise when they have great games, reach milestones, or accomplish something special. Angel often doesn't get that same grace. It goes beyond basketball too. She models? People hate.
She celebrates her partner ? People hate.
She launches a business? People hate.
She drops a shoe? People hate. Even when she has a career accomplishment, people immediately search for ways to discredit it, there are entire YouTube channels, X accounts, and TikTok pages dedicated to tearing her down. If you want to bring up LeBron, that's different. He's been in the GOAT conversation for over 20 years. Criticism comes with that territory when you're being compared to the greatest ever. But Angel Reese is only a few years into her professional career. So what is it? What's the real reason?

@ill_name_this_x Her fg % is ridiculously terrible. Her 3 pt % is even worse. And then she claims to having been sexualized while constantly carrying a pole dancer aura, attire, photos, etc…. Oh but don’t double -doubles!!! The other players in the league are sick of it.

@ill_name_this_x I actually think there is a large group of WNBA players who are sick/tired of hearing all the glitz about AR when they know that glitz isn’t based on playing facts but rather social media image, brand, etc… she’s an elite rebounder in a world of non-athletic centers.

@jasonwhitlock FWIW, my dad officiated over 3,000 🏀 games at the HS and collegiate level. Were he still here today, he’d be absolutely disgusted by what we now label a “referee”. And btw, he’d also call out CC’s behavior equally when warranted.

@jasonwhitlock Fair enough to point out her younger years. No one s/b above criticism. We both know, and I get it, that you appear more neutral and less one-sided, to go all in with your critique of her but, asserting AR maturity growth on ANY aspect in life is comical.

This would make sense if she hadn't exhibited the exact same behavior at Iowa, her rookie year, her second year, and now her third year. Remember when she flopped to the ground in college when kids rushed the court? I called that out in real time. The belligerent behavior during the NCAA Tourney and her dad screamed at her from the stands. I called that out. Her behavior has shown no improvement. Informed people in Iowa say it's been going on since high school and junior high. You can justify it all you want, same as Karmelo's parents. But all of these women have a story to tell about dealing with unfair treatment. You think it's easy being a 6-foot-3 woman in high school? You think it's easy being a 6-foot-3 masculine woman in high school or a tall, masculine girl in junior high? I don't like Angel Reese. But, so far this year, she's shown more maturity growth than Caitlin Clark. It's a fact. Caitlin is not a leader. She's spoiled. Fun to watch drain threes and pass the ball. But her inability to control her emotions creates problems.

@jasonwhitlock Regardless of CC’s behavior in the past, my contention is, few other athletes in history have been unjustifiably treated like she has since entering the W while an entire league turns a blind eye. If she’s had enough and will take her defense in her own hands, I don’t blame her
