My main point here is not that Starmer was negligent. It's about the systems we have in place, the institutional neglect, the culture of not reporting up / caring.
Starmer, a former DPP in No10, is ideally placed to lead this culture change.

But in this case, new DNA testing alerted CPS to the fact that a man may have been wrongly jailed for rape. I'd think that worth flagging to the man in charge (Starmer).
If it wasn't, it should have been.
