What's wrong with nuclear? The problem isn't nuclear or renewables, the problem is subsidies. Absolutely disgusting that these office dwelling blundering idiots make these decisions based on fake evidence and then when they fail throw their hands in the air and go “problems all yours” with no assistance or assurance it won’t happen again. People in office need to be held accountable for the consequences of their bad decisions financially or through the courts

Chris Bowen just admitted that we don't have any real amount of strategic fuel reserve here in Australia. Our reserves remain under the control of the USA. We no longer have the capacity to refine commercial quantities of our own fuel onshore. Because Australia is the worst place to do anything hard. Because the laws, regulations and red tape are at stupid levels. Every Australian will pay the price of decades of an incompetent and corrupt government.
