One major SOCIAL PROBLEM IN THE USA about concert ticket prices being so high, is that you rarely as an artist get to play to a room that doesn't already know you. Some of the excitement of performing comes from encountering people who are just out for the night and don't know what to expect. We're old so we remember what it meant for people to just kinda 'come out' to a show. The cost and risk is too high for that equation to work out now. And so giant companies earn a couple more dollars and balance their books, tighten their grip. Meanwhile potential social bonds are lost. Silos are hardened. And nothing changes because the difference in potential can't / won't be measured. Save live music? I don't know how. Thanks for reading this <3
