I 💯 agree, but there's not one planet close to us that can sustain us like here on earth. Sure we can create artificial structures to house people. But to be self sustaining, the amount of artificial structure size to grow food would be 5x plus the size does the humans would live in, and the amount of time to get all those materials there, then built would take forever. Because we wouldn't be leaving from earth to go there, this would have to be done from the moon. Meaning we have to establish bases, warehouses, fueling stations and launching and landing pads on the moon first. But the first question I would be asking. Is it in any way possible to terraform Mars? To make the environment habital for humans? And if so, how long would that take? And what about the gravity differences? How will this affect the human body over time? What it strengthen it or weaken it? Listen elon i'm with you, i would love to be one of the first ones there. But we need some data, real data not some whack job scientist theory. I think you need to send a manned team to Mars, get some real data, real hands on samples to really see what we're working with, and what's possible.
