@accommodatingly Thanks, Steph! (Couldn't agree more about Dan, but am gonna beg to differ about Bernie!). But that's what democracy is for. And, hey, this book is not in the hagiography racket, it's a complex, fulsome account of community change (and also what failed to change).

Honestly I don't care much about Bernie atp but I will read anything Dan Chiasson writes. And he's a phenomenal live presence (Dan, not Bernie). Consider going! Or streaming!
