@banteg There were actually 1,486B successful ETH transfers at the call level (and also 39M reverted ones). Looking at the distribution it is seems like there were also a big number of a very small 1 wei transfers (and most of them failed). The query took 36s to complete :)

out of 2.1 billion transactions on ethereum, 1.018 billion were sent with a non zero ether value. this chart shows the distribution of values sent. the most popular amount is 0.05 eth, followed by 0.1 eth, 1 eth, 0.2 eth, 0.01 eth. the query took around 6.5 mins to compute.
