#ToyStory5 I feared the Tech vs Toy plot would be cliche but they freakin nailed it!! I loved this. Not just a good film but a worthy sequel in line with parts 2 & 3 (love 4 but understand it’s divisive). Jessie & Bonnie’s story hit me emotionally. I can’t wait to see it again!

I'm happy to see the unnecessary hate for Toy Story 4 fading away and more people recognizing and appreciating the themes the movie was exploring.

I genuinely just think people prefer the toys in Toy Story to always having to serve someone instead of taking care of their own well being. Idk I think TS4 has a great message about autonomy and finding your own meaning in the world. I don’t believe Woodys existentialism undoes any of the first three films. I also feel like over-exaggerate Buzz’s role when he’s faced with the impact of Woodys choices in the story.

I love that Lex Luthor can have different layers and philosophies, but ultimately it boils down to a guy who just cannot stand Superman. That's such a fun villain. I'm looking forward to seeing Lex get an expanded role in Man of Tomorrow.

You know what'd be kinda ballsy as fuck? A semi-soft-reboot for Doctor Who under a brand new creative team that doesn't really reference the past... But they actually cast Billie Piper as their Doctor, totally divorced from the Rose stuff. She's genuinely a great actor.

I love that live action TV has taken so many unique approaches to Spidey: Spidey as a character on an educational show. Spidey as a spy thriller. Spidey as a Tokusatsu. And Spidey as a Noir Mystery Thriller. We are lucky to have this.

@HenryHarper523 Still Batman, just a really unique and incredibly fun approach. Hell in the first of the animated spin-offs Return of the Caped Crusader, there's a whole meta commentary on Batman's characterization since the West era, but it's all still done with that same zany appeal.

@HenryHarper523 Like, between say Keaton and West, if you consider which one is closer to the source material, it's West, easily. He embodies a lot more of the character. He's just not as broody and it's all in a zany 60s style. Which I honestly love.

Knowing RTD's writing habits since, I don't think 73 Yards ending was clever or subversive. I just think RTD couldn't be arsed.

This is where Doctor Who ended for me. The Doctor fought for so long and accepted his life, it was time to rest. Extremely poetic, he CAN change and live on but decides to end.

Doctor Who didn't just fail because of the "nostalgia trap," it failed because there was no substance to the "nostalgia." You can bring back past characters/aliens successfully, they just need purpose, and you still have to introduce them like they are new.
