The Tinubu administration Student grant of ₦50 million each to 45 students selected from 65 finalists from public and private tertiary institutions, is just like the United States 🇺🇸 grant which started after NDEA -1950s.
It stated like this;
1950 → NSF begins funding research talent
•1955 → National Merit Scholarships (academic achievement)
•1958 → NDEA (loans, not grants)
•1965–1972 → Federal grant system expands (Pell Grants)
•1960s onward → Innovation awards grow through NSF + competitions
Just small money oooh..im very certain President Tinubu will extend it to cover field of medicine ,engineering & constructions just how US government did theirs.
