Different skylines, same mission 📍 Chicago and Charlotte, we’re excited to begin laying the early groundwork for our ride-hailing service as we prepare to serve the cities in the future.

I would suggest removing ChatGPT’s asterisks if you, as an elected leader, use it to write your colleague’s whole obituary.

Cabarrus County Commissioner Lynn Shue has passed away. Statement from Concord Mayor Elect, and Shue's former colleague on the board, Steve Morris: Lynn Shue’s family has asked that I assist them in being a spokesman on behalf of the family as they mourn the loss of their husband, father and grandfather. Lynn passed away Wednesday afternoon November 5. Commissioner **Lynn Shue’s** passing marks the loss of a deeply respected public servant and community leader whose life was defined by faith, perseverance, and service. Throughout decades of dedication to **Cabarrus County**, he exemplified integrity, compassion, and steadfast commitment to the people he served. Lynn Shue’s public career spanned multiple decades, beginning with his service on the **Cabarrus County Board of Education**, where he served several terms, including as **Chairman**. His leadership helped guide the county’s educational system through critical growth and change. In **2014**, he was elected to the **Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners**, joining at a pivotal moment in the county’s history. His calm, thoughtful approach and focus on stability and sound governance contributed significantly to the county’s success and reputation as a model for others across North Carolina. Lynn’s life was marked by extraordinary resilience. After undergoing both a **heart transplant** and later a **kidney transplant**, he recovered with remarkable strength and continued to serve his community with energy and purpose. Even as he faced new medical challenges in recent years that affected his mobility, Lynn remained deeply engaged—participating in discussions, staying informed, and contributing meaningfully to decision-making. His **faith in God** guided his actions and decisions, shaping his character and leadership. Those who worked with him often spoke of his humility, moral clarity, and selflessness. He was known for always putting others first, never making decisions out of personal interest, and maintaining unwavering integrity in every aspect of his life. Beyond his public service, Lynn Shue was a devoted friend, mentor, and man of faith. His colleagues describe him as **honorable, compassionate, and wise**, a person whose presence brought steadiness and trust to every room he entered. His passing is both a **personal loss** to those who knew him and a **significant loss** to the broader Cabarrus County community. As we remember his life and celebrate his contributions, we extend heartfelt condolences to the **Shue family**, honoring Lynn’s legacy of service, faith, and love for his community. May his example continue to inspire those who follow in his footsteps.

From the airport: CLT confirmed with FAA reps that the possible ground stop for CLT is listed due to low cloud cover. However, there are no impacts right now and flights are coming and going.
JD@JDVT32

Hey @JoeBrunoWSOC9 I read on the FAA website that there will be a ground stop at CLT airport in 20 minutes due to the shut down. Is this true?

Blacksburg, we have serious problems. 2 young VT alums told me they have no plans to come to Blacksburg this football season. “Why should we? So we can watch a mid team and then stand in line for 2 hours to get into Champs?” Things need to change.

How much are you willing to spend on a golf Polo? At an unnamed club in Ireland. Not just them, it’s almost all clubs over there. $200 USD for a normal polo. $185 USD for a normal hoodie This is getting insane. I ended up buying zero clothing items anywhere, it was just too silly for me to participate. We are already paying $400-$600 to play golf. Maybe let us buy a shirt without giving up our first born? I want golf courses to thrive, long term I wonder if this will come back to bite them.

@Anderson_Chris5 At that level one of your main goals should be to get guys to the point where they can get drafted their junior year….sounds like your worried about what’s best for you and your staff and not your players.

Belmont Abbey Baseball is not a junior college! If you intend to come here for two or three years and have us develop you to leave? Then this is not the place for you. I’d prefer for you not to come in the first place. This is me and my coaching staffs “Alabama”.
