Our entire school read the book “Because of Winn-Dixie” by @KateDiCamillo, and to celebrate this perfect book, we had a door decorating contest. This recreation of Gloria Dump’s tree was the winner! Students wrote about their own mistakes, too! 🥰 @Jarrell_ISD @IESCougars

Our 2nd graders have been learning about @DrTempleGrandin by reading “The Girl Who Thought in Pictures” by @JFinleyMosca and creating our own version of Temple based on the illustrations of @daniel_reiley! As one scholar stated “we are all special!” @Jarrell_ISD @IESCougars

Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders in the Igo Library have been reviewing their dictionary skills in preparation for their upcoming STAAR tests, and this fun scoot has brought out the competitiveness of many kiddos! 🐾🤓 @Jarrell_ISD @IESCougars

Yesterday the Sun City Mad Hatters performed their rendition of “The Three Little Pigs” for our @IESCougars Kinder, 1st, and 2nd grade students! They loved every minute and are still singing “Who’s afraid of the big, bad wolf!?” 🐷🧱🐺 @Jarrell_ISD @IESCougars

Congratulations to our JHS theatre students! Their District One Act Play Competition was a success! They are now heading to the Bi-District competition on March 21st. Let's go, JHS Theatre.

We have been celebrating #BlackHistoryMonth  in the Igo Library by reading beautiful books created by black authors! After reading “Each Kindness” by @JackieWoodson, we decorated rocks to remember that kindness creates ripples like a stone in water. @Jarrell_ISD @IESCougars

Our 2nd and 3rd graders in the Igo Library have enjoyed reading the Caldecott-winning book “The Adventures of Beekle” by @dsantat and becoming illustrators like Dan! This scholar decided to “customize” Beekle all on his own. 🤩 @Jarrell_ISD @IESCougars

It's #NationalSchoolCounselingWeek. School counselors provide students w/academic, college/career, & social/emotional development. They also provide support to our staff when needed. Thank you to our @jisdcounseling staff for the work they put in to help our students dream big.
