@Coach_BHaines What an insecure post, especially from a national championship DC. Ty gave your unit the highest compliment he could re:execution & being coached. This was your takeaway? Goodness.

Adorable. We also, saw everything they were doing, on every single snap… It’s just that we exploited those cues. And didn’t get frozen and crushed by them.

Well, after a 4 year wait, what a disappointment the Peaky Blinders movie turned out to be. An ill-formed plot, executed by a miscast son of Tommy Shelby leads to a death completely incongruent with the man we watched for 6 seasons. Far better to have left the series as the end. Sad.

@caviterginsoy @Verstappenn_ Not even the FIA agrees with this, lol. The new regs and racing has been universally condemned, so much so that reg changes have been moved up in the calendar to try and save face. Stop being tribal, OP's point is valid regardless of who he supports.

Not sure why my name is in quotes ? Anyway, the real irony is that verstappen himself gets it right, give him a shopping trolley and he'll race it as fast as it goes. It's a non issue and yes I do find it significantly better racing, but you seem to prefer a monaco style procession we had. luckily no one cares and we get what we get.

I’ve watched F1 for 17 years and have missed only 3 races in that time and right now I’ve never felt so un interested or invested in this artificial season so far. Everything feels off, like nothing feels genuine, shit engines, paid PR commentators, censoring bad comments, faking speed telemetry, cars can’t get off the line, cars randomly spinning their drivers round for no reason, the illegal Mercedes again that everyone seems to be fine with, it’s laughable. The gap between F1 and WEC, Indycar in terms of entertainment has never been this big.

Formula 1 has a serious problem. The new regulation set has rendered an awful, awful product. Artificial racing, battery graphics on the screen during broadcast, cars that have taken the driver's ability to push to the limit...an incredibly sad state of affairs in a sport so many of us love.

@WTSmith17 That may be the most desperate thing I've seen in a long time. Also, when someone pulls the "you're not smarter than me..." card, you're definitely...smarter than them.

After yesterday‘s debate, Brian Shapiro arranged for me to meet with the NAACP, “because I need to be educated about racism.” You can watch the entire debate, but it feels like an hour long HR meeting. He claims Steven Crowder is racist, but fails to provide any evidence. I would be happy to meet with the NAACP as long as it is recorded

This is quite possibly the dumbest take on the clip below one could imagine. Nick Saban has been harping on the importance of education in the life of the college athlete for a decade. Respectfully, sit down and be quiet, Ameshia. The accomplished adults are trying to solve a problem.

Again, it's not vague if you're a fan of the sport. Furthermore, when Pate refers to the mess as "off the field issues," "structure of the game problems" and asks "what rules can you make or enforce" you really have to leap to pretend that you don't know what he's talking about. Especially given how recently Trump has talked openly about NIL and the federal government. Is it a 10 out to 10 specificity? No, it wasn't, we can agree there. But as I've said before, to pretend that he in no way attempted to ask about the problems plaguing the game is disingenuous. You would have done it differently, got it, but that's aside from the issue we're discussing.

@JasonPulley @JesseReSimonton I wouldn’t personally call asking “how do you feel about that?” To a topic that comes off as vague really much, if any attempt at all. If it was to get the conversation started about specifics, then that’s fine, but he didn’t. He asked nothing of substance in the slightest

I spy a red herring. The interview wasn't messy because Trump was Trump. The issue is Pate had 10 minutes, promised his audience a college football interview, and never asked a single question about NIL, portal, etc. Trump didn't dodge those questions. They were never asked.
Jason Whitlock@jasonwhitlock

Interviewing Trump is always messy. Why blame Josh for Trump's messiness? Show me the unmessy Trump interview. It's Trumps brand to talk about whatever he wants to in any interview.

@JackBellar05 @JesseReSimonton Fine to disagree on level of specificity, but again, to flat out say that he didn't attempt to ask (as OP did) is incorrect

@JasonPulley @JesseReSimonton The full question he added on to the mess comment “the structure of the game” and “what rules you can make/enforce,” which is incredibly non specific. Do you mean NIL? The portal? Lack of cohesion from officials? There aren’t 20 choices, but there’s enough to make it a bad opener

@JackBellar05 @JesseReSimonton Fine with that take, but it presumes that he did in fact, ask. If you’re a CFB fan, there’s also nothing vague about referring to “the mess.” We all know exactly what that’s referring to, there aren’t 20 choices.

@JasonPulley @JesseReSimonton I mean if he didn’t get the response he wanted from vaguely gesturing at the “mess” that is CFB off the field, he could’ve followed up on a specific topic like NIL instead of discussing the Lincoln Bedroom? It was bad interview

@JasonPulley @JesseReSimonton I mean if that was his best attempt about asking about NIL and eligibility in CFB from a government perspective then that was a horrendous attempt and he is not equipped to conduct such an interview. A complete hack

Not the best format for long form discussion, but I saw all of your messages and agree with a good amount of the sentiment. Where we differ is (I think) Pate's ability to press or get appropriate answers from the president. I'll take him at his word that the original plan was to dive deeper, but his time was cut into 1/4th the night beforehand.

I believe right wingers were being performative when they clamored about Obama's birth certificate, I believe left wingers are still performative about "Russian collusion" in Trump's first term, I believe right wingers were being performative about Biden's overseas dealings...so yes, I believe being performative is the MO of the opposing party from that which is in the office. Causes & facts aside, they don't actually care. It's a platform.

@JasonPulley Got it. So you believe maga was being performative when they were asking for the release of the files under Biden and when Trump ran on it? Or is it only performative now that it went mainstream, congress passed a bill that Trump signed into law, and is still being covered up?

None of those people were mad until January of 2025, those files started in 2007. Regardless, that has nothing to do with Pate and the interview, so you'll have to try harder to convince yourself that any of your backlash towards it was real. Both of you groups of people are so performative.

What are you going on about? You're just typing angrily about hating Donald Trump, "dealing with reality", on multiple of my posts simply stating that the interview was innocuous in the CFB world. Plenty of room elsewhere for you to hate whatever politician you want, all good by me.

@JasonPulley @jmflynn74 @TrumpyCaneGhost @Goat_Latia How far we’ve fallen as a country when you have people coddling a grown ass man like this. Trump is an idiot it’s time to deal with reality. These “Trump answers” don’t fly anymore. This is real life and shit is serious. Enough with this coddling shit it’s pathetic.

Politics in this country are so deeply unserious. Listening to the governor of Virgina lecture the country on how we've departed so far from the vision of the Founding Fathers...Lady, the FF never intended for you to be able to vote, much less be making this speech, lol.

The second question is entirely about college football. "You go to a lot of college football games..." Which is true, he's gone to a number of CFB games while in office. Always a talking point among media. Asking how Trump decides which CFB game he decides to go to is...entirely about CFB. Pathetic feels like an emotional judgement. They were, of course, objectively "Trump" answers. Comical in their lack of direct response, rambling certainly, but I place no value in his answers.
