RIP Jon Dee Graham.   I know it's hard, But I know it's sweet, Complicated And incomplete; But I am in love, I'm still in love With the world so full; Don't turn away, Don't turn away, From the world so full. youtu.be/SotteINikO4?si…

“My family plan costs $1,500 a month — and each of my three KIDS has a $6,000 deductible.” He must pay $30,000 out-of-pocket BEFORE insurance covers a single thing for them — on top of $18,000 a year just to keep the plan alive. Health insurance is a SCAM.

It took one week and an AI detection system to flag 70 suspected fraudulent Medicaid providers in Los Angeles. The real question is why the federal government went decades without bothering to look. foxnews.com/politics/jd-va…

Today's ruling by the IOC means a welcome return to fair sport for women and girls, but I'll never forget the scandal of Paris 2024, when people who consider themselves supremely virtuous and progressive publicly cheered on men punching women.

“My bank account is empty. I’m lost. I’m drowning.” Angela Grana, a TSA officer in Colorado, says she feels “demoralized” and “un-valued” amid the ongoing DHS shutdown, and tells CBS News’ @NikolenDC her co-workers are also sleeping in the cars or at the airport, and some are selling their plasma to get by without pay. Her message to lawmakers: “We don’t have a red line and blue line for passengers. We are Americans…We need to be paid. We shouldn’t be letting security be at risk.”

@AustinAirport NOOOOOOO. Why do you want to be like every other airport? What happened to the stance of only having local restaurants in the airport?

🚨 IT'S OFFICIAL: After Delta Airlines canceled ALL special privileges for members of Congress while TSA is unpaid, other airlines nationwide are being pressured to follow suit This is common sense. Treat them the same as us! ALL airlines should do this!

I don’t think people realize how much healthcare costs are driving big companies to fire and not hire. It costs them $30k per family, per year for premiums and care. Most of that goes to the massive, vertically integrated insurance companies that send weekly bills that no one reviews in details. And it doesn’t include the company overhead to deal with it all. It’s usually the 2nd largest expense after payroll. Which is insane It’s far easier to blame AI than it is to blame Healthcare costs. Want to increase jobs, wages and improve affordability for every American ? Break up the biggest insurance companies. Make divest non insurance companies. They don’t need thousands of subsidiaries. That’s how they game and abuse the system and increase costs for all of us. Call your senator and tell them to support the BreakUp Big Medicine Bill by @HawleyMO and @SenWarren.

Texas actually did something like this, but better. Starting in the 1960s, thanks to Lady Bird Johnson and the Highway Beautification Act, Texas began planting native wildflowers along highways. Today, TxDOT manages about 800,000 acres of roadside and intentionally delays mowing until early summer after wildflowers have bloomed and dropped seed. Mowing late in the season allows the wildflowers to stay vigorous and not get crowded out by taller grasses or trees and shrubs. Take a drive along Texas highways in the Spring and you will enjoy a beautiful display of Bluebonnets, Indian Paintbrush, Coreopsis, Winecup, Mexican Hat, Indian Blanket, and more! Then thank Ladybird Johnson and TxDOT’s commitment to keeping Texas Highways beautiful.

Every single mile of highway and interstate median should be planted with native wildflowers to feed pollinators and birds. No more mowing grass.

Some dude with Tourettes involuntarily said the n-word and the national press, along with activist groups and Hollywood actors, had a two-week meltdown. It comes out that Mamdani’s wife said it casually and voluntarily and it’s total silence. Weird how that works.
