i keep seeing people praising video game design philosophies that were pioneered by Fumito Ueda but never enough love for his works Ico & Shadow of the Colossus are your favourite game dev's favourite games for very good reason

@JoshGrilli @Magus_Max1 why adapt a material and name it as if its an adaptation, but, not adapt the source material? at least the cgi movies are continuing plots relating to the game and factor into them somehow. these just throw shit at the wall and get the title for branding

@fxxk_veronica Interesting! I didn't know that. back when these came out anime still wasn't mainstream so everything was much more expensive I think each dvd was 40 USD each at the time. They are worth getting especially since it seems forgotten in the world of streaming services.

@JorL_ Yeah I initially caught it on cable I think TechTV (initially ZDTV) had an anime block late at night and I caught it.

@JoshGrilli It's great! I saw the sequel first, but I did not know what it was, I remember because I saw it on HBO a long time ago, until later I found it was a sequel lol
