We need the next generation of girls to be taught about PCOS, Endometriosis and all related. They can't get the same "just take panadol" energy we got. Next thing you're being rushed to surgery for things that were sidelined for years.. I hope it gets better for them..

@mercelineodhiss So while a man’s routine may stay relatively the same, a woman’s workload often doubles. That imbalance is why many women say marriage feels like harder work

@mercelineodhiss It’s often because the reality of marriage isn’t experienced the same way by both sides. Many women still carry the bulk of the invisible labour i.e cooking, cleaning, childcare, planning the household, etc, even while working full-time

Everytime I talk to married folks, the men praise marriage on how it’s a good thing and gives them purpose. The women complain about so many things and how they’ve changed and the man’s life seems to remain the same. No man tells me marriage is hardwork but women do. ☹️

SHA conversation is back on the TL. We are now asking the right questions but not the critical ones. Let's start here. Who are these vendors that are taking ~60% of SHA procedure costs?

My friend @Lupita_Nyongo has started #MakeFibroidsCount to raise critical funds for fibroid research.  Fibroids affect up to 8 out of 10 women by age 50! And like so many women’s health issues, this disease is under-funded, under-researched and under-diagnosed. Donate today to support research and learn more at MakeFibroidsCount.org.

Stop misleading Kenyans buana. F1/F2 is the Bill you are talking about. F3/F4 is the Bill we are talking about. What you are talking about is Constitution of Kenya Ammendment Bill, 2025 which seeks to ammend Articles 94, 95, 96, 108, 109, 110, 111, 112, 113, 114, 115, 116, 173, 221 and also insert Article 199A to Establish a County Assembly Fund. Co sponsored by Sen Aaron Cheruiyot and Stewart Madzayo. Stop misleading Kenyans by parading the wrong Bills. The Bill in Question is Constitution Ammendment Bill, 2024 that is at Second Reading Stage according to Senate Own Bill Tracker as at 14 August 2025

Senate of Kenya@Senate_KE

This information is incorrect. A review of the official Constitution of Kenya (Amendment) Bill, 2025, shows that the claims being made are false. Here are the facts based on the contents of the Bill: 1. The Bill Does NOT Extend Term Limits Nowhere in the Constitution of Kenya (Amendment) Bill, 2025, is there any proposal to extend the terms of office for the President, Governors, MPs, or MCAs from five to seven years. The Bill does not amend the articles of the Constitution that deal with term limits for these elective positions. 2. The Bill Does NOT Create a Prime Minister Post The Bill makes no mention of creating the Office of a Prime Minister or any other new position within the executive branch. The proposed amendments do not alter the existing structure of the national executive. What the Bill Actually Proposes The primary objective of the Bill is to strengthen devolution and the role of the Senate. Its main proposals are to: •Enhance Bicameralism: Make the Senate a co-equal to the National Assembly by requiring that most bills be considered and passed by both houses. •Strengthen Senate's Financial Oversight: Give the Senate a direct role in the national budget-making process and in the approval of key state officers like the Controller of Budget and Auditor-General. •Protect County Assemblies: Establish a constitutionally protected County Assembly Fund to ensure financial independence for county legislatures. It's crucial to read and verify information before sharing. This Bill focuses on fixing procedural issues in Parliament to better support county governments, not on altering term limits or the structure of the executive.
