The immortal words of former Taliban ambassador to Pakistan @abdulsalamzaeef come to mind: "Pakistan...is so famous for treachery that it is said they can get milk from a bull. They have two tongues in one mouth, and two faces on one head so they can speak everybody's language; they use everybody, deceive everybody. They decieve the Arabs under the guise of an Islamic nuclear power, saying that they are defending Islam and Islamic countries. They milk America and Europe in the alliance against terrorism, and they have been deceiving Pakistani and other Muslims around the world in the name of Kashmiri jihad. But behind the curtain they have been betraying everyone."
Lindsey Graham@LindseyGrahamSC
If this reporting is accurate, it would require a complete reevaluation of the role Pakistan is playing as mediator between Iran, the United States and other parties. Given some of the prior statements by Pakistani defense officials towards Israel, I would not be shocked if this were true.

Scoop via @CBSNews: As Pakistan positioned itself as a diplomatic conduit between Tehran and Washington, it quietly allowed Iranian military aircraft to park in its country, potentially shielding them from US airstrikes, sources told @JimLaPorta and me. Days after Trump announced the ceasefire in early April, Tehran sent multiple aircraft to Pakistan Air Force Base Nur Khan.
Among the military hardware was an Iranian Air Force RC-130, a reconnaissance and intelligence-gathering variant of the Lockheed C-130 Hercules tactical transport aircraft.

I had forgotten about this video. In the immediate aftermath of India's counter-terror strike--Operation Sindoor--in May 2025 set many new benchmarks. In this public speech delivered in Hindi in the immediate aftermath of India's successful military operation, I first list out the reasons for the Pahalgam massacre perpetrated by Pakistan Army backed terrorists and then highlight India's precise, lethal and effective strikes on Terrorist HQs inside Pakistan. What did Op Sindoor achieve? Listen to the full speech. youtu.be/_WQV2m6FRGA?si…

Surgical strikes brought three years of relative peace; Balakot allowed six years. It is anyone’s guess how long India has after Op Sindoor before Pakistan once again feels the need to trigger a conflict with India for its own (rather Pakistan military’s) survival. But Op Sindoor was well done in terms of not just initiating a strike with well-defined objectives but also terminating it on India’s own terms.
Wahan se goli, yahan se gola: One year after Operation Sindoor I argue, India has fundamentally altered its military posture against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism.
Tracing the sequence from the brutal massacre of 26 tourists in Kashmir to India’s deep precision strikes inside Pakistan, I describe Operation Sindoor as far more than a retaliatory mission. It was in my view a calibrated politico-military campaign with three clear objectives — military punishment, political signalling, and psychological shock. youtube.com/watch?v=wSyO59…
I explain how India abandoned old restraints, striking not just terror camps but the leadership infrastructure of terrorist groups deep inside Pakistani territory. The operation demonstrated India’s willingness to cross previously accepted “red lines” while carefully managing escalation below the nuclear threshold.
I also recount the tense hours that followed: Pakistan’s drone retaliation attempts and India’s counterstrikes on multiple Pakistani airfields.
The talk highlights what I see as the defining lessons of the conflict: the effectiveness of indigenous systems like and Akash missiles, the growing China-Pakistan military nexus, the rise of drone warfare, and the reality that India may increasingly have to rely on its own strength in both war and diplomacy.

Nashik TCS Case and Nida Khan Arrest Update:
Nida was in police custody till today and, following her interrogation, the Nashik Road Court has sent her to 14 days of judicial custody. She has now been moved to Nashik Road Central Jail.
A 50-page report on the matter was submitted to CM Devendra Fadnavis by @NCWIndia. The report has verified all the allegations and this is what it says:
1. The female employees in the office were sexually harassed and attempts were made to molest them.
2. The accused used to bully female employees by denigrating Hindu beliefs and traditions. They would insist that Islam was a far superior religion and belittle Hindu Dharma.
3. There were cases of sexual harassment and stalking through comments and behaviour that made the females feel humiliated.
4. There was a complete absence of any formal complaint mechanism in the office.
5. The office was controlled by Danish, Tausif and Raza. They protected Ashwini Chainani, and no employee had the courage to raise their voice against them. Those who did face transfer and termination.
6. No CCTV was installed.
7. Zero compliance with the POSH Act.
With all these allegations verified, @TCS is now in big trouble.

Triple triumph: India validates three strategic missile technologies in three days
The advanced version of Agni is nothing but Agni-VI, which will have an operational range of over 10,000 km. But the missile was flight-tested in a depressed trajectory for a reduced range of around 3,500 km. It carried multiple payloads directed towards different targets spread across a large geographical area in the Indian Ocean region, validating one of the most complex strategic technologies in modern missile warfare: Sources

A study by Professor Dheeraj Sharma of IIM Ahmedabad indicated a pattern of negative stereotyping against Hindus and Sikhs in Bollywood films, while often portraying Muslim characters more positively.
The research, which analyzed 50 films from each decade between the 1960s and 2010s, highlighted a number of specific representational biases:

Since a new CDS is set to take over soon, it is good to revisit the original press release mainly because there is a lot of ignorance (even among veterans) about CDS’ exact status: whether he is a single point military adviser or principal military adviser? What is his precise mandate as Permanent Chairman Chiefs of Staff Committee? This press note provides the answers. pib.gov.in/Pressreleasesh…

In the coming years, I think we will see "Kudankulam protests 2." Most likely starting from TN. That time it was against Russian built reactors.
This time it will be against India's new Fast Breeder reactors, already existing reactors, or their expansion to help power India.
If so, we will see fishermen with flags and coastal community protesting in water and the state's CM, whoever it is, going to give them political support.
Former PM MMS ji called the 2011 Kudankulam protests against the Russian reactors as a work of foreign hands. More specifically he stated in a magazine interview, and I remember clearly reading:
"The protests were done by orgs in India who were funded by NGOs, from the US and Scandinavia, who do not like India to be energy independent."
He was referring to the then Deep State. The DS now has evolved. And is influenced more by another actor. Still India faces the same DS threat.
So remember PM MMS's statement if you see protests erupt. Do not fall for propaganda that "PM Modi sold something to some corporate" or "Govt is doing something nasty to the environment."
Or any of their nuclear doom & gloom propaganda that's sure to precede any organized protests.
They said the same last time about a different govt. And India faces similar deep state adversaries who will try to disrupt its energy independence and growth. Let's not become their easy prey and pawns in sabotaging ourselves.

Dear Shri Ram Madhav Ji @rammadhav_, your brilliant exposition, "Two trysts with nationalism, 1911 & 2026," is not merely an article; it is a profound historiographical and political testament that captures the very soul of Bengal’s civilizational churn.
As a student of India's political evolution, I am compelled to deconstruct this masterpiece.
What follows is a multi-dimensional deconstruction of this historical arc—linking the politics of the Delhi Durbar to the dynamics of the 2026 Bengal mandate—tailored through the analytical lenses of History, Sociology, Political Science, and Ethics.
Let's dissect the anatomy of this cultural and political resurgence. 🧵👇
