There’s many reasons why I do what I do, but one of the biggest reasons is because men told me I couldn’t. It gives me the fuel to keep climbing so I can open doors for the women to follow me. I told Shira that this can be her one day.

All this is to say how VERY IMPORTANT female representation in sports is. And I’m so happy my girls have so many amazing women to look up to! 🥹💜🧡

For Women’s History Month, the Value of Representation of Women in Sports, a Thread: I grew up a huge sports fan in the 80s/90s. I wanted to grow up and do baseball play-by-play. I’d record myself calling games on my little Fisher Price cassette recorder.

@Camera_Kate Omg I love that! 🥹 Most of my experience with little girls at games have been them wanting to be dancers or cheerleaders (nothing wrong with that). It was so nice to inspire a little girl to do what I do.

@KateFrese Love this so much!! 🥹 When I was working as a videographer for the Bulls, I was a coiling a cable courtside once, and I heard a little girl turned to her in mom and said, "That must be the best job in the world!" I hope she gets to do that job one day, too! 💖
