The blocking by Israel of UNRWA aid into north Gaza is completely unacceptable. On humanitarian access to Gaza, @antonioguterres is crystal clear; blocked aid is a ‘moral outrage’. The use of starvation as a weapon of war is a blatant violation of international humanitarian law.

RIP Ben Dunne. We duelled a little after I wrote that Patrick Gallagher paid for his ransom. He was usually drunk, or remorseful. Apologising to me (in front of Smurfit) then abusing me again (in front of Fingleton). But I recognised the addict in him. He had a big kind heart.
