HOW MUCH IS FAIRLY DECENT ENOUGH TO CHARGE FOR YOUR DESIGN SERVICES? LEMME TEACH YOU. Clearly, some Designers think Pricing their service high is a sin. 😳 I don’t know if that’s a context, but can we justify how much is fair to add to the goods we buy, how much percentage is enough & exactly how it is justifiable? Qus: How can we charge for our services & not go to h3ll? 😊 2 Thessalonians 3:10 — “For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: ‘The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.” This Bible verse explain the seriousness in working before wanting to reap. No man plants a seen in his farmland having the exact amount of fruits that seed will bear fort in mind. You see, “All have sinned” is not a chapter for kids. That’s why every day we go to bed, we should pray for our forgiveness for all things we know & things we do not know we committed. This doesn’t mean we should sell our conscience & do as we like, no, we should be as fair as possible, considerate, moderate & work with our conscience right by our side. Our conscience is the only regulatory engine inside of us that no man can deny, we know when we charge too much, giving less value, we do. To glory in doing very less & charging much is in itself a sin, not about how much you charge, but how much you give. Value is the context, undeniable context of truth. I have a student who preach so much & I respect that, but when he started avoiding his fellow designers, maybe so he doesn’t sin, I was like this is it, this is the devi1 trying to show him people that are not problems to condemn. You see the devi1 is so good at showing us the wrongs around us & not the good in people. The young man doesn’t want to have anything to do with s1nners, but still using a mobile phone created by some s1nners, still wearing cloths made maybe in a sinner, still using the devi1s advocate social media app to spread the message, still living in an unbeliever apartment. “We are in the world but not off the world” is not a verse for kids as-well. We should watch & pray, work hard and charge for it, & bear in mind that the riches of the gentiles will belongs to us. As long as we are in this world, we can’t be hiding from the things of the world, but use them to proclaim the name of our lord. As Christians, we need money too. If I buy good food for a hungry man and tells him about Jesus Christ, he is already saved. Everything under this earth, and beyond belongs to GOD and GOD alone have total control of them all, the reaches and the wealth of this world belongs to us & fully for our use, 1 Chronicles 29:11-12 affirms that riches, honor, & power come from God. In conclusion, for services, what ever your mind deems fit to charge, as long as you are giving more reasonable value as possible, that is the price tag, yet always audit yourself to know when you are going beyond cost, know when the cost is becoming fair out of greed. — Okpara E Ikenna
