@KevyD28 Kalk was a rookie. Give him another off season and play him next to Giannis almost exclusively and I think it’d work great. I think that package is on the low end for Giannis. He’s old but he’s a top 5 player in the league. Plus we have plenty of picks, it wouldn’t hurt much.

That Dallas pick could be a top 5 pick as well in 2027 if Flagg got hurt. So if you’re talking Brandon, Jaden, a top 5 2027 1st, and a top 5 2028 1st then you’re potentially looking at great core for a year 1-2 rebuild. Plus assets you get from Naz and Rudy to add to the core.

Timberwolves could still be ok next year since they don’t have their pick. But can go full rebuild in 2027-2028 with a much cleaner payroll, and having just drafted 2 new pieces around Brandon Miller and Jaden McDaniels in the 2027 draft. Then hope for top 3 pick in 2028.

There’s a lot of directions Jeff can head in this off season, but one of them CANNOT be building through the draft and thats it. If we see this same team back with the addition of 2 new 1st round picks it will be a failure of an offseason.
