@fandompulse What got the show cancelled was with the show runner’s approach to Season 3, which I enjoyed, but really drug and lost viewers. By the time we got to Season 4, which I believe was by far the best season overall, it had already been canceled.

There’d been a lot of overlap, Deep Space Nine had overlap with Next Gen and Voyager had overlapped with Deep Space and here we were, not quite overlapping, but right on the heels of Voyager. I think there was some fatigue, to a certain extent. While people came and watched that first episode [of Enterprise] as opposed to the current iterations of Star Trek, I don’t think at the time it was an audience that was just chomping at the bit for more. I think they were kind of almost looking for a reason to say, ‘Yeah, I’m gonna let this go for a while.’" Do you think his assessment is accurate?

@CaptainJackYT If only a few people didn’t like it, it wouldn’t have been canceled. It was canceled because the show was in my opinion an insult to Star Trek fans who have been watching for decades. By the third episode, I was out. I knew it was going to be canceled.

Such disappointing news. This was without a doubt one of the strongest first seasons of a Star Trek show, a great jumping-on point for new fans, and it absolutely had the legs to run for a good five seasons, but that kind of longevity is gold dust in the streaming era.
