There is absolutely no conspiracy against, or for, any team in the Premier League and to believe so is ludicrous. But what cannot be denied is that we are going through the worst-ever run of referee/Var etc errors. It's never been this bad.

They're either both penalties or neither is a penalty. The inconsistency has fundamentally changed the game and the result. Negligence beyond belief, and should come with repercussions.

There are 3-4 key reasons for United’s recent performance dip: 🔴 recent opponents we faced were less likely to attack & leave lots of space behind (unlike City and Arsenal) 🔴 opponents recognized & adapted to our central progression intent, blocking those pathways & forcing us wide 🔴 Dorgu’s injury is a massive hit, as the only LW option who provided width and pace, stretching the pitch & opening up inside space for Shaw In addition to this, our high press has been problematic (though OOP play in general has been better, with most opponents struggling to create much). Carrick’s run has been impressive in terms of results, but there are clear tactical and personnel issues to resolve.

Had hoped to watch the game today but a work thing came up. Sounds like it's a throwback to the bad old days. Lucky escape.

See how it plays out but would like to start seeing a few different ideas from Carrick. Will happily hold my hands up if we win comfortably, but thought the West Ham game would have been more instructive.

breaking teams down when they settle into mid / low blocks and creating high-quality chances has been a consistent problem since the start for Carrick’s United. we struggle to do so because we do not do enough to directly attack & penetrate the last line of defense. thread🧵.

Sesko needs to start games. for a team that lacks clear, consistent methods to generate easy-to-finish chances, a CF who—by virtue of his movement, sharpness, range, and aerial threat—basically provides a viable method on his own should not be on the bench.

Unchanged lineup. Trusting his starting eleven to keep doing the business, and throwing the gauntlet down to Sesko to keep making an impact from the bench if he wants to force his way into the team. Fascinated to see how tonight goes. Momentum is a powerful thing. #MUFC

@KevinTLev Not sure Mbeumo as a forward vs Fulham/Spurs worked aswell as it did vs City/Arsenal. Sesko, in theory, should work better vs low blocks. Personally would be tempted to go with Amad or Cunha/Mbeumo/Sesko for these games.
