Booked the package with @jet2tweets Despite paying Jet2 for the hotel, flight and transfer, the hotel will also charge me 10 euros a night when I vacate as a 'climate tax'. This has been imposed by the Greek government. I have no idea how me paying the Greek government 70 euros is going to stop a natural phenomenon - climate change - which may or may not exist. Mother Nature will do whatever she's always done whether or not I cough up 70 euros. Another case of the elite getting richer on the green initiatives scam at the expense of Joe Public. Btw, it's 10 euros a night for a 5* hotel, but only 7 euros for a 4* hotel. Ridiculous. The hotel I'm staying at is classified as 4* by all the tour operators but, the hotel itself classifies it as 5*. That's like me saying I'm a 42 year old when I'm actually 65. Just making it up as they go along. Well, Greece, I'm sorry to say that's the last holiday I'm having in your beautiful little islands.
