@troy35584984109 @OpenSourceZone By this notion it should also have mostly republican representation and yet it has a dem gov, 2 dem congress reps and a split senate, granted one of those is an Independent but historically has sided with the dems

@KrustyEric @OpenSourceZone Meh she will perform well. Its a state with a older population and white. Platner would have bigger luck in Vermont or Oregon.

@1980Khoa @OpenSourceZone And all that got them was her dropping out with like Planter having 20+ point leads in every poll. Maine isn’t the typical state when it votes

@OpenSourceZone Platner is a horrendous candidate for the general election. There is a reason Schumer and the establishment democrats put in so much money to help Mills with the primary.

@doctorogres @_TyAnderson Carolina and Florida also make savvy trades and invest in casts off who didn’t fit systems. To suggest that because the draft value is tied to pick number is silly given how many guys in the NHL were outside pick 20. It’s still craptastic drafting.

@_TyAnderson Because draft position is a thing and the drop-off is exponential. Bruins had a total pick value of 49.22 during those three years, it's disingenuous to compare their drafting to Florida (121.16) or Carolina (187.46). Like sure, I could be rich if I hit on my scratch tickets.

@RealDeanCain Voter ID and the Save Act are not the same thing. 80% of the country supports a voter id system in say the form of an enhanced ID that each states provides free of charge

@MarkMeadows I mean the Bible also says you should sell your eldest daughter into slavery so I mean if we are nitpicking. Also Genesis 2:7 has a saying too.

James Talarico: "Jesus never talks about abortion. The Bible is silent on abortion." The Bible: "Thou shalt not kill." Democrats have lost their minds nominating this guy for Senate in Texas.

Democrats are rallying behind Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner — the guy who had a Nazi SS-style Totenkopf tattoo on his chest for nearly 20 years — and are now calling him their presumptive nominee. Am I understanding that correctly?

@BOSunofficialGM @SabresGandhi @iamhockey1 Hampus is aging like a sandwich in the trash and I’m actually pro Zadorov but he’s better off as a 3rd pair/PK guy. Zellweger game screams perfect pair with McAvoy. Brunet might be good but he’s been buried for 3 years now and the rest are years away. Brunet feels trade baity

@KrustyEric @SabresGandhi @iamhockey1 I see a lot of Bruins fans mocking Zellweger deals, but what does he solve exactly? BOS has legitimately six NHL-caliber LHD, not including a couple prospects that have yet to turn pro. Regarding Elias, I think BOS is stuck with that contract for a while.

@BOSunofficialGM @SabresGandhi @iamhockey1 I mean you are not wrong but we are not Don Sweeney and he’s way more likely to hoard 30 year old DEFs than eat a first on a 23 year old one. Feel like the meet in the middle play is Zellweger but that feels like it might get complicated with Elias and McTavish maybe involved too

@KrustyEric @SabresGandhi @iamhockey1 If they signed Andersson, they’d be trading a first in 4 years anyway trying to get him off the books. I’d rather shoot my shot we a 23 year old former 2 OA who has good offensive instincts who is also much cheaper and lets you do more with the roster (like top-6 F, maybe?)

@BOSunofficialGM @SabresGandhi @iamhockey1 I think they pivot to Rasmus Andersson if Nemec requires a first. Sweeney has historically been hesitant to trade 1sts unless it was to also dump a bad contract or in 2023 when they were trying to make the team a juggernaut. Think he still has a bad taste from the Nash trade.

@KrustyEric @SabresGandhi @iamhockey1 I agree with the analysis, but young, right-shot dmen with high ceilings and high draft capital don’t often come cheap. I genuinely think another team would be willing to at least offer up a pick in the 20s & a decent prospect to bet on his ceiling. My offer would be 23 + Lohrei.

@BOSunofficialGM @SabresGandhi @iamhockey1 Possible but not sure he’s worth that return. All the power to them if they do tho. Thats still a player whose ceiling is based off potential and not actual current play. Bruins should be willing to take the gamble but a 1st is an overpay

@KrustyEric @SabresGandhi @iamhockey1 I think that one of the teams that have multiple 1sts would be more than willing to part with a late-1st this year for him. SJS, VAN, NYR, CGY, STL are all teams that pick 20 or later that have multiple picks who I think could give up at least their later 1st for him.

@BOSunofficialGM @SabresGandhi @iamhockey1 Personally I’d offer Lohrei and a 2028 second. Lohrei gives them a Dougie Hamilton like player they’ve had success with and a clean 2nd. Not sure how many offers top. No team is offering a 1st. Maybe they get a second and a prospect but who knows. Feels like Zacha 2.0

@KrustyEric @SabresGandhi @iamhockey1 This is actually an extremely valid point. It seems like NJD has soured on the player and they might just let him walk to an offer sheet as an RFA. That said, he’s worth more than a 2nd and there will be competition to acquire him, so I don’t see an offer sheet happening.

@otherbarrylives @electionsjoe @Ericrse37986 Or because democrats donate directly to candidates and republicans donate to the party so they can control where the funds go or don’t go. The overall donation money is about the same. But yeah what you said

@SabresGandhi @iamhockey1 More than likely the fact that NJD probably doesn’t match an offer sheet at say 5x4.75 which is a clean 2nd. Probably just offer the 2nd and probably a letter pick and maybe a fringe prospect. NJD hasn’t exactly shown they care about him so leverage is gonna be weird
