Dear @FA, can we invite Mexico for a Wembley friendly, please? Outside Azteca, England fans swapping shirts with Mexicans, England fans and Mexicans drinking and singing together. Mexico been wonderful hosts. Be great to see them and their fans at Wembley. Not been since 2010.

I can’t even put into words how lucky I am to have seen both those matches at the Azteca. Curses broken and hearts shattered in the same week. The Azteca is truly the holy land of this beautiful game and I’m just glad to have experienced it.

I've been lucky enough to play football, even partake in great games, commentate on big global finals and support England since my first England v Scotland schoolboy international in the early 80's.
I have never experienced intensity, partisan support and emotional stress than tonight at the Azteca.
A truly momentous occasion.

Ya van a empezar de resentidos entre nosotros mismos Mexicanos, y buscando culpables para ‘que no se les olvide’ y se venguen o se odien ahora en los torneos locales o que?
Enfoquémonos en que TODOS mejoremos, nosotros como afición también , la Federación de futbol Mexicano que trabaje mejor para lograr un nivel más alto de futbol dando más recursos, porque los jugadores de la selección ya tienen el talento y la garra y espíritu e hicieron excelente trabajo con lo que les dieron para trabajar!

Walked back down the Azteca ramps amid thousands of Mexican fans. They were so sporting. Congratulating England fans. Lots of (admittedly quite sad) singing and no recriminations. Impresionante

I’m genuinely concerned for the English fans leaving the Mexico stadium tonight.
I’ve had my life threatened by Mexican fans more than once and this was at games in the U.S.
Can’t imagine how dangerous they’re going to be if they lose on their own turf.
