@Headteacherchat As a new Head, I would advise getting a coach & good HR support, aim to communicate as much as poss, keep things moving forward incrementally, hold your moral purpose & it’s ok not to have all the answers.

Advice for someone who wants to become a headteacher What would you give?

@MrsSpalding Was hoping to hear additional funding for SEND, offer of support on recruitment & pay, instead longer inspection, no change to assessment, no passion. Didn’t feel reassuring improvement is on horizon.
