🚨 This Ancient Cave Looks Like It Was Built by the Future… Not the Past Hidden deep inside the rocky hills of Barabar Hills lies something that shouldn’t exist… at least not in the 3rd century BCE. The mysterious Lomas Rishi Cave, believed to be created during the reign of Emperor Ashoka, looks less like an ancient shelter—and more like a structure from a lost advanced world. From the outside, the cave stuns with a carved entrance that perfectly imitates wooden architecture… in solid granite. An elegant curved arch, detailed carvings of elephants, and precise symmetry—everything feels too refined for its time. But step inside… and the real mystery begins. The walls are so incredibly smooth and polished that they reflect light like a mirror. Not rough. Not weathered. But glass-like. Even today, with modern tools, achieving this level of finish on hard stone is extremely difficult. So how did ancient craftsmen do it over 2,000 years ago? Stand in that silent chamber, and something feels… off. The sound echoes strangely. The air feels heavy. The surfaces are cold, perfect, almost unnatural. It doesn’t feel ancient—it feels engineered. Was this truly just a meditation space… or something more? A lost technique? A forgotten science? Or evidence that history knows less than we think? One thing is certain: This cave doesn’t just tell a story—it asks a question we still can’t answer.

At one point in college, I had an obese roommate. After a few weeks, she complained about how lucky I was to be thin, since I ate more than her. The thing is, however, that I absolutely did not eat more than her, in terms of calories or just amount of food. She put ranch on everything. 600 calorie drinks. Endless snacking. Maybe my plate was more full than hers at dinner, but it was obvious tp everyone but her that she was consuming more throughout the day. I'm sorry, but after multiple instances of this happening with other overweight people, I just don't trust when someone heavy insists they're in caloric deficit. Maybe some people lose weight faster than others. For sure. But it's simple science that if calories out exceed calories in, you WILL lose weight.
Hockey Farmer🥶🏴‍☠️🇹🇹@grfarmgoat

@anymanfitness I ate 1200 for 44 days straight. Measured and weighed everything. I gained weight. I wish was I kidding.

This meant 50% more electricity being used than should have been. One site was a hotel, with this installer error costing them £4k a year for the last 8 years. 3 sites were in Scotland, Lancashire and Leeds, from 3 different installers, one had even had the manufacturer out.

Hot water set to switch on both the 3kW tank immersion heater & heat pump's inline immersion heater 15 minutes into the water heating cycle, so an extra 6kW of electricity being used to heat water. Heating set for the inline immersion heater to kick in after 30 mins.

Dear heat pump installers, If people wanted to heat their houses & water from straight electric heaters they'd buy a £50 fan heater not a £10-15k heat pump. Please stop leaving the inline and tank immersion heaters switched on. 3rd in a month with a sub 2.5 COP due to this.

@ajcdeane In Leeds they've spent about £80 million on consultations around various badly thought out super tram / trolley bus systems that have then been scrapped over the last 40 years. We remain the largest city in Europe without a proper mass transit system...

We have spent £180m on plans for a tunnel under Stonehenge. The project is now scrapped. You can be for a tunnel & think spending is a good idea (even if you think the cost of planning is silly). You can be against a tunnel & think spending is a bad idea. But *nobody* can be for spending on this scale with zero result. And yet that is a peculiarly British outcome. Nobody will be reprimanded. Nobody will see their career affected. But that’s £180m of taxpayer money just wazzed up the wall. Totally without repercussions. Multiply this by airport expansions & train route plans and Thames crossings and power stations and other examples you can think of yourself, and… soon you’re talking serious money.

@grantshapps @Ed_Miliband North sea oil sells at the price set by the global market. More north sea production would have allowed UK oil companies to profiteer, and government to gain tax revenue, but done nowt to cap UK consumer prices.

Oil prices have surged past $100 a barrel. As Energy Secretary, I backed routine North Sea licensing rounds and pushed to speed up approvals for new fields. The goal was clear: produce more of our own energy and protect Britain from volatile global markets. @Ed_Miliband opposes North Sea oil, leaving the UK exposed at exactly the moment the world is becoming more unstable and energy prices are rising. independent.co.uk/news/business/…

@MissB53 It does say 'eating just one egg'. So 1 egg's obviously worse than 2, 3, 4 eggs... Probably due to what else they're eating with that 1 egg.

This headline. THIS HEADLINE. 🤦‍♀️ “Eating just ONE egg a day increases your risk of diabetes by 60%” I need everyone to sit with that for a second. I eat 6 to 12 eggs a day. Every single day. For the past year. And in that same year I: 🥚Reversed type 2 diabetes 🥚Reversed insulin resistance 🥚Reversed sleep apnea 🥚Stabilized my blood sugar 🥚Balanced my hormones 🥚Eliminated perimenopause symptoms 🥚Lost 140 pounds 🥚Got my brain back On EGGS. Beef. Bacon. Butter. This is exactly the kind of fear propaganda that kept me sick for 47 years. Headlines designed to keep you terrified of real food so you keep buying processed garbage and prescription pills instead. Eggs are one of the most nutrient dense foods on the planet. Complete protein. Choline for your brain. B12 for your nervous system. Healthy fat for your hormones. The yolk alone is a multivitamin. They don’t want you to know that. A healthy population is a terrible business model. I was headed for an early grave. Eggs didn’t almost kill me. Believing this kind of nonsense almost killed me. Never again. 🥚🥩👑 Ready to stop being lied to and start actually healing? Free tools in my bio! Your second chance is waiting.

My wife asked me to explain why Trump attacked Iran. I knew if I said “he’s controlled by Jews!” She would press me for a better explanation. So I was forced to think about the situation and try to explain it with a more realist bent. So I told her that there are long standing conflicts between the US and China over global influence, dollar supremacy and energy. I told her Israel and Iran have had a feud for 40 years, one that Israel has been itching to end with toppling the ayatollah regime…I said Iran and Venezuela have been supplying China with oil and developing broader ties to China and it seems like Trump maybe has made a couple of chess moves to mess up Chinas long range planning. “Nancy at work said it’s the Jews” MFW.

Remember when I was saying the Epstein files weren’t about left or right? I meant it. The Epstein network is not partisan—it is an elite access network that spans at least four U.S. Presidential administrations. Political lines do not matter. The people within the network are connected by immense wealth, power, and a shared sense of elitism, not ideology.

@maddenifico You know that is what happens when you get released at station after being detained... They could wait inside until their ride came to pick them up, but there is not going to be a limo or chauffer service to drive them home. This how it works for everyone in these situations...

Hard to believe this story but it is true. Corby, a town in the UK, had a steel works which needed to be closed down. Corby Council demolished and removed the works between 1985 and 1997. Except they did not handle it properly. The Labour council, which was in control from 1979 to 2021, cut costs and huge amounts of toxic dust was released into the air. It coated everything. During that time, many women became pregnant and went on to have babies with significant birth defects. One woman’s child was so badly deformed internally that it died. The Council refused to take responsibility until a journalist, Graham Hind, got involved and wrote a story about it for the Sunday Times. It only got a place on page 10 but a lawyer, Des Collins, got involved and sued the council on behalf of the deformed children. The Council never admitted their guilt but, after 11 long years of fighting, the court found them liable and they were ordered to pay damages to the 19 families whose children were born with problems. This is the problem with trusting local councils. When you get one that has no idea what it is doing, it can literally cost lives.

@TuckerPoodleMA We started with 2, & a hen house foor 4. So we got 4 more & had to extend the hen house, then 1 vanished, 1 died, so we had 4 for a year before fox. Then i built a fox proof house for 6, & my partner returned with 8, so I extended. 8 hens = 50% > eggs than 4 hens. Hen maths.

Almost every chicken owner understands chicken math. Chicken Math: The Cynical Homesteader Edition Me a few years ago: “I just need a few hens for eggs. Like, 6 max. Fresh breakfast, no drama, done.” Reality after one feed store trip: “But these chicks are on sale and look lonely. Chickens need friends or they get depressed. It’s just Science.” Bought 4 more. Now 10. Then I decide I need a rooster for the hens and he has a best friend hen so I take her too. Now 12. Then I want to try to hatch eggs so I load up an incubator. End up with 4 hens and 1 rooster. Then the coop’s getting crowded. The roosters are fighting. Need a bigger run and coop. Bigger run means room for… more birds. It’s basic math. Decide I need some bantams because they are awesome and small so they don’t take up room. End up with 2 roosters and 1 hen. Added 5 pullets because “variety in egg colors is aesthetic AF. I have a rooster for them! Now I’m not even sure how many I have. Decide I need separate pens and coops for harmony. Now I have 3 coops. Separate pen = extra space = why not add a few new bantams? Little Rey deserves more girlfriends.” Picked up 3 more. Now I definitely don’t know how many I have until I take a few minutes to add them up and I’m still not positive. Current status: I have three coops, four roosters (one’s definitely a tiny dictator) and a bunch of hens. Started for “self-sufficiency.” Ended with a full-on feathered HOA and zero chill. Chicken math isn’t addition. It’s subtraction of brain cells + multiplication of birds + division of your sanity.

@DaleVince We found one via our battery monitoring system that was running continously all night, heating house to sauna temperatures, because hot water valve wasnt fitted properly, so the hot water cycle was heating the house bypassing any thermostats. Heat pump company tried to deny it

This is a horror story. Worst part for me is that nobody seems able to explain it, not the council, not the builders, not the manufacturers of the heat pumps. They all seem to imply the heat pump is not being used correctly - though they avoid saying so. So they should, it’s hard to see how a heat pump could be used incorrectly at all let alone this badly. In this case it’s in a well insulated new home, the best use case. The efficiency of heat pumps goes down and bills go up - as you ask for hotter water. That doesn’t appear to be happening here - it’s a perfect horror story, cold house ridiculous high bills. I hope it gets fixed quickly. Can't stress enough that the claims around heat pumps need to be treated with caution. thescottishsun.co.uk/money/15901479…

@steffd62 The real issue with this is that they should have had to reprint it, which should have come off their allowed campaign spending total, which means by not following the rules, they can spend that money on another leaflet. Odds on they spotted error but sent it out anyway.

I have seen the posts about Reform UK and their campaign material in the Gorton and Denton by election. Let’s be clear what has actually happened. Reform UK sent out letters pretending to be from a “concerned neighbour” supporting their campaign, but crucially they failed to include the legally required imprint saying who paid for and produced them. That omission is a breach of electoral law and is now being investigated by the police because the law exists to make sure voters know who is actually trying to influence them. Some commentators, even a former strategist linked to the far right, have pointed out that presenting material as if it comes from a local resident is the kind of tactic used by parties like the old BNP in earlier campaigns. That does not make it right, and it should set off alarm bells for anyone who cares about honesty in politics. The fact that Reform’s leaders are now trying to shrug it off as a “printer error” does not wash. If you are going to claim you stand for democracy then you should follow the law and be transparent about who you are and what you are doing. In this case they did neither. And while all of this is going on, Angeliki Stogia, the Labour candidate in the Gorton and Denton by election, is out there campaigning on real issues for local people, not playing game after game with the rules and voters’ trust. If we want politics that is honest, open and actually accountable, we need to call this out for what it is and not let sneaky tricks slide under the rug.
