A few things on this: 1. Joe Schoen is a bad GM. In 2024, when he decided to “rebuild” the Giants and let Saquon/Mckinney walk he should’ve traded Dex for a haul. Instead, Dexter had an all pro season on a 3 win team. 2. Trading Dexter Lawrence now probably doesn’t make sense. You’re trying to win, and he’s off his worst season of his career, I doubt you’ll get a haul. 3. Joe Schoen is a bad GM.

@Chris_NYY28 I might get killed for this but the real mistake was not trading Saquon when it was clear he wasn’t staying long-term. Dex signed a team-friendly deal, nothing was wrong with that. Letting McKinney walk was a big mistake though.

It’s not. Every bad team looks to trade their best assets. Jets did it, raiders tried to do it with Crosby, Dallas did it with parsons. It’s how you rebuild quickly. The Giants in 2024 were in position to do that and they didn’t. I wanted Schoen to do this for years during the rebuild
