Today we open our 2019 indoor season in Birmingham at the UAB Blazer Invitational. Live results can be found at xpresstiming.com we will also compete tomorrow in the UAB Vulcan Invitational.

Congrats to @MCCTrack_Field athlete, national champion and school record holder @LeanderForbes on signing with Alabama.

Our men are ranked No. 23 in the first USTFCCCA XC Coaches Poll of the 2019 season.

Our new Track and Field Center is second to none with locker rooms for both men’s and women’s squads, training room, coaches offices and conference room.

Walked in to both our men’s and women’s locker rooms in our new field house tonight and said looks good, let’s keep it locked till our team meeting on Sunday.

Excited for our team moving in this weekend so we can get this 2018-2019 year going. It might be a new year but the expectations are the same, just with some new faces.

Congrats to Freshman Joshua St. Clair on his 5th place finish in the 400 meters at the Trinidad and Tobago National Championships this past weekend.

My condolences & prayers go out to the @ICTrackField and @ICTritons family on the passing of Denny Myers today. I worked for Denny the year prior to being named the head coach at MCC. I will always be in debt for the opportunity he gave me early in my career. He will be missed.

New locker rooms and field house are coming along nicely. Can’t wait to see the finished product in a few weeks.

MCC’s Men’s Squad finishes 4th at the NJCAA Indoor National Championships and the Women finished 16th.

We have another National Champion as Leander Forbes breaks his school record set yesterday again by running 1:17.53!!!!

We have our first National Championship of the meet as the men make it a 3-Peat in the 4x800m relay!!!! #3Peat

Men compete in the 4x800 relay, Triple Jump, 400m, 600m, Mile & finish the day with the 4x400m relay. Women is 60 hurdles & triple jump.

It is Finals Day at the NJCAA Indoor Championships. We will compete in 6 final events on the mens side and 2 finals on the womens side.

On Day 1 of the NJCAA Indoor National Championships we had qualifiers in the men’s 400 meters & 600 meters & the women’s 60 hurdles. James Burnett broke his school record in the 400 meters posting 46.50 & Leander Forbes set a new school record in the 600 meters with a 1:18.28.
